Wasatch & District Pipe Band
A+ Elevators & Lifts is a proud sponsor of the Wasatch & District Pipe Band.
In 2014 a small group of 15 musicians founded the Wasatch & District Pipe Band (WDPB) to develop and cultivate highland music in Utah. Since then, the organization’s ranks have swelled to nearly 100 members, allowing them to create four bands ranging from novice to advanced. WDPB is the second largest pipe band organization in the world and one of the highest ranked pipe bands in the United States. Based out of Bountiful, Utah, WDPB performs at parades, concerts, and art festivals along the Wasatch Front, and also represents Utah in local, national, and international competitions, including the World Pipe Band Championships held each year in Glasgow, Scotland. WDPB is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and relies on donations and grants for its operation and activities. Mikal Wersland Memorial Foundation
A+ Elevators & Lifts is a proud sponsor of the Mikal Ames Wersland Foundation.
Mikal Ames Wersland passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2018. Born January 23, 1971 to Swen and Dora Wersland, he was the second of seven children. A father, son, brother, husband, and friend, Mike impacted thousands by the way he lived and served. Mike was a guide, provider, and fierce protector to his family, friends, and the community. To his family and friends, Mike filled the role of comedian and jokester, often bringing everyone to tears laughing; a trait he never lost.
The Mikal Wersland Memorial Foundation was created to allow Mike’s friends and family to come together in support of one another and help ensure that his children: Jordan, Brooke, Katie, and Alex, have the support they need through the upcoming years.
Each year, the foundation hosts an annual 5K race, based in Centerville, Utah. The 5k race encourages the community to come together and be healthy together.
The foundation not only allows for Mike and his legacy to live on and to help support his family, but it also allows an opportunity for people who were touched by Mike’s kindness and selflessness to return the love to others. #lovebigger means to perform acts of kindness, service, love, and inspire others to achieve their potential and become bigger and better versions of themselves.

Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation
A+ Elevators & Lifts is a proud supporter of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
On October 30, 2015, A+ Elevators & Lifts’ original Vice President of Sales, Daniel Jones, passed away from complications of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF).
Idiopathic (unknown cause of disease/condition) Pulmonary (lungs) Fibrosis (scarring) is a progressive and generally fatal disease characterized by scarring of the lungs that thickens the lining of the lungs, causing an irreversible loss of the tissue’s ability to transport oxygen. IPF ultimately robs a patient of the ability to breathe.
By actively engaging the Pulmonary Fibrosis (PF) community, the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation has developed essential programs available to those living and working with pulmonary fibrosis. Their expert Medical Advisory Board and the biennial PFF Summit allow them to maintain an ongoing dialogue with physicians, researchers, industry representatives, and the patient community.
The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation hosts its biennial international health care conference on PF. The goal of the Summit is to foster a collaborative environment to improve education and awareness of PF and to identify new approaches to treat, and ultimately cure, this devastating disease. The Summit features an innovative continuing medical education program for health professionals as well as provide sessions for PF patients and caregivers that address their growing educational needs. The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

American Heart Association
A+ Elevators & Lifts is a proud supporter of the American Heart Association.
The six cardiologists who founded the American Heart Association in 1924 would be amazed.
From humble beginnings, the AHA has grown into the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. A shared focus on cardiovascular health unites more than 33 million volunteers and supporters as well as more than 3,400 employees.
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide, and stroke ranks second globally. Even when those conditions don’t result in death, they cause disability and diminish the quality of life. We want to see a world free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
AHA’s size and scope let them have a real impact. They have invested more than $4.1 billion in research, more than any U.S. nonprofit organization.
