Certified Elevator Inspections – When an elevator or lift is first installed, it is required to be inspected by a certified elevator inspector who is employed by the governing agency in which the home or building is located (i.e. state, county or city agencies). Inspections will assure your equipment is compliant to ASME A17.1 (Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators) and/or ASME A18.1 (Safety Code for Platform Lifts and Stairway Chairlifts), including other applicable safety codes. Some jurisdictions don’t employ certified inspectors, and as such, 3rd-party inspections are required to meet the requirements still set for by that governing agency (typically smaller cities or towns or buildings on federal land).
In addition, many manufacturing and industrial plants require bi-annual or annual inspections of all conveyance equipment to meet the rigorous requirements of ones safety program. A+ Elevators & Lifts employs such inspectors to fill such demands.
As with any new elevator of lift, commercial or residential, annual inspections are required to be conducted to ensure they remain code compliant as they age and remain up to par in operation and maintenance.
A+ Elevators & Lifts employs elevator inspectors certified through National Association of Elevator Safety Authorities International (NAESA). With extremely rigorous requirements to maintain certification credentials, you can rest assured the reliability of your elevator and safety of your family, friend and co-workers are at the front of our inspection services.
